White pepper essential oil is extracted from white peppercorns of the Piperaceae family through a steam distillation process. This oil is highly beneficial for curing digestion related problems. Today it is cultivated in almost all the tropical areas of the globe. White pepper oil is insoluble in water alcohol and oils. Since long time it has been in use in India but today it is widely cultivated in China and Malaysia.
White pepper oil generally blends well with the essential oil such as Chamomile, Frankincense, Lavender, Geranium, Orange, jasmine, Lemon, Bergamot, Lime, Mandarin, Neroli, Rosemary, Rose, Sandalwood, Sweet and Ylang Ylang. The main constituents of the oil are sabinene, limonene, beta-pinene, alpha-pinene, furthermore terpinene, myrcene, monoterpene derivatives, delta-3-carene.
Due to its antispasmodic properties, whitepepper oil is used to smooth the muscles of the gut. It is very helpful in the problem associated with the digestive system.
