Essential oil of Neroli derived from Citrus aurantium var. amara. It belong to Rutaceae family. Citrus aurantium is also known as C.Bigardia and Citrus vulgaris. Neroli essential oil has an amazing aroma along with vital therapeutic properties. It greatly relaxes your mind and body, giving instant relief in problems like muscle spasms, also it has a refreshing and rejuvenating effect on your skin, that further gives a healthy glow to your skin. It also helps in calming and regulating the palpitation of the heart. Some people use it for the treatment of stretch marks and scars too.
In order to make 1 lb of Neroli oil 1000 lbs of orange blossoms are required. The name of this oil has association with an Italian princess. She was the Countess of Nerola, Anne-Marie de la Tremoille, who used this oil to serve as a perfume and used to scent her gloves and bathwater with it.
