Almond oil bitter is very light in weight. This vegetable oil is one of the most popular oil used in aromatherapy massage. It has a softening effect on the skin and can be easily absorbed by the skin. Its botanical name is Prunus amygdalus var. dulcus. This particular oil has a very long and exciting history because it is rich in almost all the vital nutrients so, it has been in use since ancient times.

 

Almond oil bitter do varies in taste, flavor and smell. As it is extracted from several different and sometimes scarce species therefore, the purest and nicest quality is indeed pricy. The wild form of almonds are grows in different parts of Mediterranean region. Before domestication and civilization, wild almonds were harvested as food and were processed via roasting and leaching to remove the toxicity.

 

The tree from which almond oil bitter is extracted can go approximately up to the height of eight meters and have simple leaves, flowers have white tinged with red color and fruits having velvety drupes are about 3 to 6 cm in length. This oil is sweet, cool and hence, can be used for curing ulcer, cough and in the manufacture of several homeopathic medicines.
