Cashew nut is actually a tree which lies in the Anacardiaceae family. Its botanical name is Anacardium occidentale. The whole of cashew nut oil production is done through hand. The name Cashew is basically derived from the Portuguese name Caju. It is widely cultivated in Brazil for getting the cashew seeds and cashew apples. The cashew nuts are always extracted when the apples of cashew fall on the ground. After that, they are dried and then processed. It is widely grown in the parts of tropical climate. The leaves of this tree are spirally arranged, elliptic and grow up to 10 to 12 meters high. It is usually short in height.
