Orange oil bitter is the oil whose aroma is characteristic with the aroma of the sweet orange and also with the aroma of the bitter grapefruit oil. Orange oil bitter is extracted from fruit peels using the process of cold pressed extraction. The botanical name of this oil is Citrus aurantium. Today it is widely grown in the countries of USA, Egypt and Brazil. The foremost usage of this oil is because of its importance in treating the digestive system. Other than this it has got properties like antidepressant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, bactericidal, astringent, deodorant, carminative, fungicidal, stomachic, stimulant and various other such properties.

This oil is phototoxic oil, which means that it is susceptible to be harmful when it gets in contact with sunlight. So people should maintain that this oil doesn’t gets in contact with the sunlight. This oil works wonder when it is used in blend with black pepper, bay, clary sage, citrus oil, lavender, neroli, myrrh and vetiver.
