Product Description

Cypriol essential oil is also known as nagarmotha essential oil that has got its usage in the perfume and the medicinal industry. It is often used as a base in the oriental and woody type fragrances. It is also used as a fixative in many perfumes. This oil is actually extracted from the cypriol plant or Cyperus scariosus. It is extracted from the flowers of the plant. In old times, this oil was used as a nervine tonic binder of stool, an anti inflammatory medicine and also as a promoter of uterine contractions. The plant Cyperus scariosus is a shrub plant that grows to a maximum height of about 2 and a half feet.

Primarily, the oil was only used in the east and was scantily used in the west. The Egyptian however made use of Cyperus papyrus (which is a close relative of Cypriol) to make the Egyptia paper Papyrus. They also made fragrances and clothes by the use of cypriol.
