The botanical name of turmeric is Curcuma longa and is popularly known as Indian Saffron.  Turmeric essential oil is used for wide variety of purposes including its extraordinary use in aromatherapy, pharmaceutical, flavoring, industrial usage, cosmetics and toiletries. By steam distillation method, this oil is extracted from the roots of Curcuma longa.
