Tea tree essential oil is extracted through the complex process of steam distillation from the leaves of tea tree plant.  Its botanical name is Melaleuca Alternifolia . This oil comes from a little shrub which has needle like leaves with yellow purplish flowers which grows up to the height of 20 feet and found in marshy areas. It is also referred as ti-trol, ti-tree and melasol.

 

Australian originated oil has numerous medicinal benefits to mankind such as antivirus, improves immunity, treats hair loss, helps curing ailments related to respiratory system and etc. This oil is commonly used for its amazing therapeutic purposes. This miraculous oil is pale yellow in color. USES

Healthy Skin: Soak 4-5 drops of tea tree oil in cotton ball and gently clean skin to clear dark spots, blemishes and pimples. Skin Irritation and Infections: Cleaning skin with cotton ball soaked in several drops of tea tree oil is ideal for treating fungal nail infections, cuts, burns and itches due to its antifungal, bactericide and antiseptic properties. Corns, Warts and Wounds: Prepare a solution by mixing tea tree oil and carrier oil (Lavender or Rosewood) in 1 drop to 1 ml ratio, and gently clean the affected part of skin 2-3 times a day to attain quick relief and healing. Itch, Rash and Dry Skin: Simply add 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil to your bathtub and bath normally. Regularly bathing will help you to relieve from all sorts of skin-related allergies for a soft, supple and glowing skin. Hair Issues: Take your regular hair oil and mix with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil. Massage this blend over hair and scalp to unclog hair follicles and nourish hair roots for promoting hair growth and preventing hair fall. Promote General Health: Dilute 5-6 drops of tea tree oil in carrier oil (Lavender or Rosemary), and massage over forehead & sole of feet to improve overall health by overcoming weakness caused due to stress, illness or feverishness. Respiratory Problems: Add 5 drops of tea tree oil in 5 ml of carrier oil (Rosewood or Myrrh) to uplift its expectorant properties. Topically apply over neck or chest to attain relief from cough, common cold, asthma and bronchitis. Oral Problems: Add 4-5 drops of tea tree oil in a cup of water (preferably lukewarm). Use this water as a mouth wash for mitigating plague, inflamed gums, gingivitis and bad breath due to antibacterial properties.
