Tea tree essential oil is extracted through the complex process of steam distillation from the leaves of tea tree plant. Its botanical name is Melaleuca Alternifolia . This oil comes from a little shrub which has needle like leaves with yellow purplish flowers which grows up to the height of 20 feet and found in marshy areas. It is also referred as ti-trol, ti-tree and melasol.

Skin Irritation and Infections: Cleaning skin with cotton ball soaked in several drops of tea tree oil is ideal for treating fungal nail infections, cuts, burns and itches due to its antifungal, bactericide and antiseptic properties. Corns, Warts and Wounds: Prepare a solution by mixing tea tree oil and carrier oil (Lavender or Rosewood) in 1 drop to 1 ml ratio, and gently clean the affected part of skin 2-3 times a day to attain quick relief and healing. Itch, Rash and Dry Skin: Simply add 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil to your bathtub and bath normally. Regularly bathing will help you to relieve from all sorts of skin-related allergies for a soft, supple and glowing skin. Hair Issues: Take your regular hair oil and mix with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil. Massage this blend over hair and scalp to unclog hair follicles and nourish hair roots for promoting hair growth and preventing hair fall.
