The Loban attar is obtained through the destructive distillation process from benzoin.  At the time of its preparation, the benzoin is added and heated in a specific earthen vessel to obtain this natural perfume oil.   It comprises the vital constituents of pure sandal wood and loban flower essential oil.  Since ancient times, most of the people used it in the form of hawan samagri and incense sticks for offering prayers to their gods. It is widely used in sacred places, meditation centers and religious ceremonies.
