The vapors that come out are effective in treating irritating problems like whooping cough, running noses, and severe cold too. It is one of the top priority oil that is used by many aroma therapists in the problems of colds and flu. Head Lice: Aniseed oil has been used since many ages to treat the problem of head lice. First this oil is diluted with the help of almond oil and then massage into the scalp. Pampering your head with this remedy will certainly help in getting rid of head lice. As an addition to the mixture of almond and aniseed some people also use ylang ylang oil. Hiccups: Aniseed oil is helpful in stopping hiccups. In order to treat hiccups, place a few drops of this oil on a cotton ball or a piece of tissue, now inhale the aroma with your mouth open. It soothes the muscle spasms that are responsible for hiccups. Digestion: Aniseed oil contains anethole and because of it, it is helpful in aiding in the process of digestion. Drop about 4-5 drops of this oil in your warm bathtub and then soak in it for several minutes. Either way you can drop about 2 drops of this oil on a warm piece of water and then place it on your tummy. This way of treatment of an upset tummy is especially helpful in the case of children as they are not likely to go easily for medicines, but are more likely to go in bathtub.
